Effective September 12, 2026
Oji has a free tier that never asks for a card. If you choose to subscribe to a paid plan, this page explains exactly what you are agreeing to, how to stop, and what happens to your account and your money when you do. It is written for the grown-up who pays for the account.
A paid Oji plan is a subscription. You pick a plan and a billing period — monthly or yearly — and pay for that period up front. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page before you check out, and again on the payment screen before you confirm.
The free tier is not a trial that expires. It stays free for as long as you want it, and you can move to a paid plan or back to free whenever you like.
Oji runs on tokens. One token makes one picture, one song, or one coloring book page Oji has not drawn before. Stories are free and never use a token.
Free tokens. Every new account gets a one-time set of free tokens. They do not refill.
Subscription tokens. A paid plan adds a new batch of tokens every month — yearly plans too, one month at a time. Tokens you do not use roll over while you stay subscribed, up to three months’ worth of your plan; past that, a new month only tops you back up to that limit. Subscription tokens end when the subscription ends: you can use them until the end of the period you have paid for, and if a renewal payment fails you keep them through the 7-day grace period while we retry.
Token packs. Any account, free or paid, can buy a pack of extra tokens. Bought tokens last 12 months from the day you buy them, whether or not you are subscribed, and they never count toward the three-month rollover limit.
Which tokens are used first. Free and gifted tokens go first, then subscription tokens, then bought tokens — and within each kind, the oldest first. Bought tokens last the longest, so they are saved for last.
Tokens are not money: they have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money. Our Terms of Service set that out in full.
Paid plans renew automatically. At the end of each billing period we charge the same payment method for another period of the same length, at the price then shown for your plan, until you cancel. A monthly plan renews every month; a yearly plan renews every year.
We tell you the price, the billing period, and how to cancel before you pay, on the checkout screen. If a renewal price would ever change, we will tell you in advance by email so you can cancel first.
You can cancel at any time, and cancelling is as easy as subscribing — see below.
Open the parent settings behind the gate (the gear icon), choose Manage subscription, and cancel there. It takes effect straight away — no email, no phone call, and nobody will try to talk you out of it.
If you cannot reach the settings for any reason, email us at support@oji.kids and we will cancel it for you.
Cancelling stops the renewal. We will not charge you again, and there is nothing else for you to do.
You keep access to the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancel a monthly plan halfway through the month and the paid features stay on until that month is up; cancel a yearly plan and they stay on until the year is up. When the period ends, your account simply returns to the free tier.
Subscription tokens you have not used end with the subscription, at the end of that paid period. Tokens you bought in a pack are not affected — they stay until their 12 months are up.
Nothing your child made is deleted when you cancel. Every saved picture, story and song stays in your account on the free tier. Only the paid limits and features change.
Unused tokens from any purchase made in the last 30 days are refundable on request. That covers a token pack and a subscription payment alike. Email support@oji.kids and we refund the purchase pro rata: the share of what you paid that matches the share of its tokens still unused. If half of a purchase’s tokens are left, you get half of that payment back. The refunded tokens are then removed from your account.
Tokens from a purchase more than 30 days ago are not refundable, and tokens that have already been used are never refunded.
Outside the 30-day token rule above, cancelling does not issue a refund on its own. You have already been charged for the period you are in, and you keep the paid features for all of it, so there is nothing set aside to send back automatically.
If you would like a refund, please ask. Email support@oji.kids and tell us what happened — a renewal you meant to turn off, a plan nobody in the house ended up using, a second subscription bought by the other parent. A person reads every one, and we decide case by case. We would rather give the money back than leave you feeling stuck with something you did not want.
We will not pretend that is a guarantee: apart from the 30-day token rule above and the billing errors below, a refund is at our discretion, and this page deliberately does not publish a formula for it, because the fair answer depends on the situation. Asking costs you nothing.
When we do issue one, it goes back to the original payment method — we cannot send it anywhere else. How quickly it shows up on your statement is up to your bank or card issuer, and is usually 5–10 business days.
This part is not a judgement call. If you were charged twice, charged after you cancelled, or charged for something you did not buy, we refund it in full. Email support@oji.kids and we will put it right. That is our error, not a refund request, and nothing else on this page limits it.
If a renewal fails because a card expired, we will email you and retry for up to 7 days before the account returns to the free tier. Your subscription tokens stay usable during those days, and we will not quietly delete anything in the meantime.
